SALTED EGG GALORE, KILA-KILA BY AKASYA


Kila Kila opened in May 2016 and resides on the 7th floor of the Lot 4 building in SCBD area. It’s name is derived from the Sanskrit word for "Sounds of Joy." The interior blends contemporary designs with distinctive traditional Indonesian touches, ranging from bamboo chandeliers to ornate paper windmills dominating the main areas. Large glass windows embedded around the building to show panoramic views of Jakarta. Even in the bar area, the windows are designed semi-open to maximize air circulation.


The restaurant is divided into two areas: dining area and bar. In the bar area, there are also tables and chairs dedicated to smokers. Those who do not smoke need not worry, because the two rooms are separated far enough.


For the menu, the number of dishes offered are quite a lot and enough to represent the taste of the tongue of the archipelago. All dishes are processed using the finest ingredients and retain authentic flavors. For lovers of Indonesian cuisine, Kila Kila is like heaven.


As Kila Kila aims to satisfy what the customer really wants and aware that the market constantly elvoves, they have come to an idea to add new items at this November special menu, under the big theme called "Salted Egg Galore". Salted Egg Galore is the answer for Kila Kila's loyal customers who long for more salted egg choices in the menu. The five newly added items will complement the current salted egg dishes they have already have such as Udang Telur Asin and Enoki Goreng Telur Asin.


Kepiting Soka Telur Asin

Seafood and salted egg can never do you wrong. Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab was an excellent starter to perk up our appetite. The crabs were first deep fried with secret seasonings, then coated with a generous amount of dry sauce made from crushed salted eggs, chilli padi and curry leaves, giving it a pleasant aroma with exceptional crunchy texture.


Ayam Telur Asin

Kila Kila also had a chicken fillet coated with salted egg yolk. It was hard to stop eating it, because the coupled taste of savory and crispy made the chicken perfect!


Buncis Goreng Telur Asin

Slices of fried flour coated string beans, with salty egg sauce mixed to the flour made the texture of the beans became crunchy.


Brokoli Goreng Telur Asin

This one vegetable actually tasted good, although not as crispy as Buncis Goreng Telur Asin. I just didn't like the texture that I think is a little too soft for me.


Kulit Ayam Kriuk Telur Asin

To those who have never visit here, it's time to try and eat at Kila Kila. Moreover, they had Kulit Ayam Kriuk Telur Asin that was crispy to the max. The skin was crispy and tasty. Salty and crispy mixed together in the mouth can never go wrong.

From the bar, they also offer new refreshing drink to tone down and balance the palate after savory salted egg dishes.
