Shabu Kisoji - Pantai Indah Kapuk


Another appearance of a Japanese restaurant that offers food in the form of stew or shabu-shabu, the Kisoji serves a variety of typical Japanese food ranging from stew to fried.


With all you can eat concept or free to eat as much as you want, Kisoji provide a choice for culinary lovers to satisfy hunger and thirst without fear of paying too much.


Speaking of price, this restaurant tries to give a fair price for each guest through the difference in height and age. Separated into three categories: adult, senior (above 60 years), and children.


Each of them is different. The categorization is based on the age that can be proved through ID card. For ages over 60 years is categorized as a senior, while children are based on the height of 90cm-140 cm.


On arrival, consumers are welcome to eat the food that is located in the middle of the restaurant area. There is a variety of foods ranging from fish meatballs, sushi, chicken wings, squid, fish, vegetables, fruit, ice cream, cold drinks, hot drinks, and others.


For lunch, they have several packages with a 60 minutes time limit and some packages for 90 minutes. During their Grand Opening period, they are giving 30 minutes extra time, so the total time for All-You-Can-Eat is 120 minutes until 25 June 2018.


By implementing modern interior, consumers are encouraged to feel as comfortable as possible while spending time in Kisoji.

For Lunch (90 Minutes)

  • Kisoji Fine Meat: adult Rp 138,000, senior Rp 105.000, child Rp 85.000 (Flavory Meat and Low Fat Meat)

  • Kisoji Prime Meat: adult Rp 190.000, senior Rp 118.000, child Rp 116.000 (Striploin and Chuck Eye Roll)

  • Kisoji Devine Meat: adult Rp 269.000, senior Rp 158.000, child Rp 134.000 (Crunchy Wagyu and Special Wagyu)


For Lunch (60 Minutes) This Packages valid for Lunch Price Only 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM

  • Kisoji Fine Plates: single Rp 85,000, double plates Rp 95,000 (Flavory Meat and Low Fat Meat)

  • Kisoji Prime Plates: single Rp 95,000, double plates Rp 140,000 (Striploin and Chuck Eye Roll)


For Dinner (90 Minutes)

  • Kisoji Fine Meat: adult Rp 168,000, senior Rp 118.000, child Rp 90.000 (Flavory Meat and Low Fat Meat)

  • Kisoji Prime Meat: adult Rp 220.000, senior Rp 131.000, child Rp 128.000 (Striploin and Chuck Eye Roll)

  • Kisoji Devine Meat: adult Rp 299.000, senior Rp 177.000, child Rp 149.000 (Crunchy Wagyu and Special Wagyu)


As you can see from pictures below, in total there are 6 options of meat, Flavory Meat, Low Fat Meat, Striploin, Chuck Eye Roll, Crunchy Wagyu, and Special Wagyu, all of them are tender, fresh and it comes in a great quality resulting an enjoyable satisfying eating experience. Out of 6 meat, Crunchy Wagyu and Special Wagyu is my favorite.

FYI, the best way to enjoy shabu-shabu beef is by dipping it into the hot boiling broth just for few seconds, in that way you will get the best tender texture of the meat. I personally prefer to dip the meat less than 10 seconds to maintain the tenderness of beef.


Shabu Kisoji Crunchy Wagyu has won my heart with it’s tender melt-in-the-mouth texture, just look at the marbling!


There are four kinds of soup or broth Kisoji is offering :

  1. Kombu Dashi which is a basic soup taken from meat broth and widely used in eating shabu Japanese food with savory taste.

  2. You who like fish can also choose Sukiyaki Soup, this soup made from fish stock with sweet and salty flavor that goes better with meat.

  3. While Chicken Collagen soup is taken from chicken broth with a typical savory chicken, this soup is more suitable for dipping vegetables.

  4. While the Gyu Soup is taken from the meat broth, in the marinade. You will see the meat bits in the soup and its flavour is tastier.

From the four soups, Gyu Soup became my favorite. To complete the whole shabu-shabu experience, don’t forget to add vegetables, squid, fish, mushroom and seafood balls into the soup.



For extra flavor kick, 2 options of dipping sauce are provided; Mazero Sauce and Gomatare Sauce. I enjoyed the sweet Gomatare sauce with nuts on the top, dip the pipping hot cooked beef into the sauce and slurp. You definitely should try this genius combination and it’s the best way to enjoy the beef.



For sweet ending, there were Ogura, Charcoal, and Matcha ice cream, major love for matcha flavor, it was refreshing.



Overall I had a fulfilling and satisfactory shabu-shabu experience at Shabu Kisoji. Tasty soup, great quality of beef and generous side dishes & condiments. Considering their quality, taste and variety, the price is very reasonable. It's a good place to gather with friends and family. Will definitely going back for more.
