SHINJUKU GYOEN NATIONAL PARK, The Best Spot to See Cherry Blossom in Japan

Holiday in a country with four seasons like Japan is fun. Japan itself has many tourism potential that can be enjoyed by every tourist there. One tourist option that is easy to reach, cheap, practical, and satisfying are the parks that exist in various places in Japan, and one of them is in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Tokyo has many parks scattered in various districts. Of the many popular parks in Tokyo, it is said that one of the largest parks as well as the most popular park is Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden located in Shinjuku district, where the Tokyo city government office are located. This park is usually filled with visitors every spring or fall, although less in volume, in other seasons are no exception either. This is because the Japanese have a culture to go to the Hanami, which is to enjoy the bloom of Sakura flowers in spring or picnic together to see sakura in the spring.

In here we can enjoy amazing scenery or do hanami because they planted various types of plants. We can enjoy the cherry blossoms and other blooming flowers. The park is also the perfect place to rest in any season with any weather (but in winter sometimes it's closed due to harsh weather), but perhaps the best time is during the day during the hanami season.

Why Should Visit Shinjuku Gyoen?

The main attraction of Shinjuku Gyoen is because of its strategic location, just minutes from JR Shinjuku Station and metro Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station on foot. The second attraction is the natural scenery around the park. Because the park is also located in the middle of the city of Shinjuku which is certainly filled with skyscrapers. We can enjoy the tall buildings poking through the trees.

In addition to hanami and momiji there are other activities we can do in Shinjuku Gyoen.
